Guide MICHELIN · Recommended
"In a well-kept corner building in Sachsenhausen, you'll find this tastefully designed restaurant offering a modern, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine from very good products. There are two menus, one of which is purely vegan. Fine wine recommendations from the patron."

How fine dining works at Sorriso.
International Fine Dining doesn't describe a cuisine — it describes a form. A menu-led evening, served across five, six, seven or eight courses, lasting between two and a half and three and a half hours. There is no à la carte to choose from — only a fixed sequence, served in this order.
Sorriso in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen practices this form without tying it to a national cuisine. It is not an Italian restaurant and not a Mediterranean concept restaurant. Mediterranean influences may appear in individual courses; the kitchen is conceived internationally and chooses its products by season and quality: Ike Jime kingfish, German-grown maitake, turbot, Comté cheese from the Jura.
Two complete menu lines run side by side — one classic, one fully vegan. Both follow the same dramaturgy, both are priced identically, both are served with the same wine pairing.
Pairing by the patron.
Robert Bezjak chooses the pairing himself — course by course, for both menu lines.
The wines come from small, precise houses: Austria, Germany, southern France, Tuscany.

A vegan line. Same conditions.
At Sorriso, two menu lines are run in parallel: a classic and a fully vegan one. Both comprise eight courses — opening with a starter, running through the mains, interrupted by a grapefruit intermezzo, closing with cheese or vegan cheese and dessert.
At every course count, both cost exactly the same: 5 courses €115, 6 courses €145, 7 courses €170, 8 courses €190. Both are served with the same wine pairing, curated by patron and sommelier Robert Bezjak — €65 to €105 depending on course count, alcohol-free pairing on request.
Tables can be mixed — vegan and classic on the same evening.
